About Cloud Weekend Summit

Cloud Weekend is the most exclusive gathering for IT decision makers in Egypt and it’s organized by Cloud Weekend LLC. Cloud Weekend 2018 will be held on September 10th, 2018 at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.

General Terms
Events Registration

Regardless of whether your registration is submitted by you or your proxy, the following Registration and Credentials Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to you and your participation in any Cloud Weekend Event. “Attendee” for purposes of these Terms will include all participants at the Event, including Exhibitors and Attendees. By participating in this Event, you agree to these Terms so please read them carefully.

This Event is organized by Cloud Weekend LLC, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to any entity or individual. To be eligible to participate, you must be 21 years old or older.

Attendee Cancellation Policy

If circumstances change and you can no longer attend this Event, you may cancel your registration by emailing us at info@cloudweekend.com. Our attendee cancellation policy is outlined below.

Registrations may be refunded, or tickets reactivated, if cancellation is made in writing no less than 15 calendar days prior to the Event start date. Cancellations received after the cancellation cutoff date or nonattendance will not be refunded and/or tickets will not be re-activated. Cancellations received after the cutoff date with a balance due will receive a cancellation invoice for the full registration amount due.

Force Majeure

After the cancellation cutoff date, payments made are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure to use event attendance credentials due to illness or due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, natural disaster, travel-related problems or an act of terrorism.

At the event:
Location-Based Alerts

Cloud Weekend uses Whova Event App to deliver app features and notifications based on Attendee location. You will be prompted to Opt-in to use this feature within the mobile application.

Badge Scanning

Cloud Weekend scans your badge to administer and improve your Event experience and solicit feedback and/or interest in Cloud Weekend products and services. Scanning is optional and you may refuse to have your badge scanned at booths as well as at the entrance to sessions and functions.

Cloud Weekend also allows Exhibitors to do their own badge scanning at the Event. Cloud Weekend is not responsible for Exhibitor scanning. When an Exhibitor scans your badge when entering an Exhibitor session or function, you are consenting to allow that Exhibitor to use your contact information to communicate with you about their services and special offers

You will have the opportunity to opt-out of such communications directly with the Exhibitor.

Note: Badge scanning is optional and you may refuse to have your badge scanned by the Exhibitor.

Session Availability

Cloud Weekend Event Registration allows you to select the interested track and session interests but cannot guarantee admission to every session. Session admission is subject to venue capacity and other criteria (for example vendor/ end user, etc.). Building an agenda on our Whova Mobile App does not guarantee access to these sessions.

Use of Multimedia at the Event

By attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree as follows: (a) Cloud Weekend may edit and use the footage it captures for marketing and promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business; and (b) Due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices in today’s world, Cloud Weekend disclaims all liability for the capture of your image by Attendees in any multimedia format at the Event.

Exhibitor Meetings

Event attendees may request a meeting with an Event exhibitor through the Whova app or by providing Cloud Weekend’s Events team with their personal contact information (PI) via an email to info@cloudweekend.com. Cloud Weekend will share this attendee PI with the requested exhibitor solely to contact the requested exhibitor on attendee’s behalf in order to coordinate the meeting time and location.

Event Services

Cloud Weekend provides tools and services that are designed to help attendees get the most value out of their Event experience. These tools and services are designed to help attendees build a personal agenda, find and connect with others (Cloud Weekend associates, event attendees and exhibitors) before, during, and after the Event.

Whova Mobile Application

When building your agenda and setting up your Event experience within Whova mobile app, Cloud Weekend may evaluate the content you access and the choices you make to provide you with recommendations and ensure the most effective ongoing service and support.

Attendee List and Messaging via Whova Mobile app

As an Event Attendee you’re opt-in to the Attendee list and messaging features. These features are designed to help Attendees find and connect with others (Attendees and Exhibitors) before, during, and after the event.

The networking tool is private and secure. Other Attendees can view the profile information you supply, but will not have access to your personal email address, or any other contact information about you, unless you choose to explicitly provide it to them in your online posts, messages, meeting invitations, or some other vehicle of your choice.

Push Notifications

When using the Whova Mobile Application you are presented with the ability to allow Cloud Weekend to send you Event notifications. These notifications may include alerts, sounds, and icon badges. Cloud Weekend utilizes these notifications to communicate upcoming event features, changes in schedule, and important event information.

Provision of contact data:

By registering for this event, you agree that the event organizer can share your professional contact data (name, email address, phone number, job title and company name) with the vendors that sponsor the event (see details in the Sponsors section of the website), and that those sponsors could be contacting them after the event. You also agree that the event organizer can share your professional data (name, job title, LinkedIn profile, and other profile information provided by you) with all event attendees on the dedicated event mobile app. Your personal contact data (email, phone, mobile, etc.) will not be shared with event attendees, unless you agree to exchange it with other attendees manually through networking feature in the mobile app.

Cloud Weekend communication:

By registering for this event, you agree that the event organizer or it’s affiliates can send you event-related information, invitations to future events, and other email messages such as newsletters or requests to participate in surveys. You may unsubscribe from these communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link in each email or via the following email contact: info@cloudweekend.com

Reporting Violations

If you have been (or notice that someone else has been) impacted by someone failing to terms, please email us at info@cloudweekend.com

Consequences of Violating this Policy

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at Cloud Weekend Events. Anyone engaged in unacceptable behavior may result in suspension of your usage of the Events Services and expulsion from the event without warning or refund. This may also result in prohibition from registering or attending future events.
